TRALEE, CO. KERRY — Kerins O’Rahillys GAA Club has officially opened pre-orders today for its highly anticipated, definitive club history book. The landmark publication, which has been years in the making by a dedicated club history committee, will officially launch at a special community event on Friday, 26th June 2026.
Spanning more than 550 pages, this premium, full-colour hardback volume chronicles over 100 years of pride, passion, and footballing excellence in the Strand Road area. Featuring more than 300 rare historic photographs and untold stories unearthed from family archives, attics, and drawers across the county, the book offers an unprecedented look at the deep-rooted heritage of the Blues.
The book meticulously traces the club's evolution from its earliest foundations in the late 1880s, through its formal transition in the 1930s, right up to the modern era. It celebrates the extraordinary exploits of legendary club icons and seven-time All-Ireland winners Dan O'Keeffe and Sean Walsh, alongside standard-bearers like Charlie O'Sullivan and Paddy Kennedy. The publication also honours modern-day Kerry greats like Tommy Walsh and David Moran, capturing what the blue and white jersey means to generations of Tralee families.
Speaking on behalf of the history committee, Pat Flavin said:

A monumental amount of work has gone into archiving these 300 images and 550 pages of memories. We want to ensure that every Strand Road family, both at home and abroad, has the chance to own this definitive piece of our legacy."

• Online: Pre-orders are open from today via the official Clubforce link available on the club’s social media platforms and website.
• In-Person: Local supporters can pre-order in person at the clubhouse bar, where a dedicated order notebook is now available behind the counter.
• In-Club Drives: Special physical ordering sessions will take place at the clubhouse at times to be announced, where cash, card, and Revolut payments will be accepted. The first of these will take place this Saturday before our home County League match against Gneeveguilla.
