It was a weekend to remember for the Kerins O’Rahillys Mothers & Others as they travelled to Watford, London, to take part in the Tara G4MO Festival.

From the moment the group arrived on Friday, they received a warm welcome from Tara and everyone involved in what proved to be an incredible weekend of Gaelic football, friendship and fun.

The festival featured two pitches running simultaneously, with five teams assigned to each. The KOR M&O played four games throughout the day Tara GFC, Kilmacabea (Cork), Mna le Cheile Ballinamore (Leitrim) and Southern Gaels (Kerry), giving everyone the opportunity to get out on the pitch and showcase the skills they have developed over the past year.

It was particularly special for the group to see just how much they have grown and developed as a team. The girls gave it their all, enjoying every game and embracing the fantastic spirit of the Mothers & Others community. Huge thank you to Rhys for his coaching and dedication throughout the season and for traveling with them to London.

Off the pitch, the weekend was just as memorable. It was fantastic meeting teams from across Ireland and the UK, making new friends, having plenty of laughs and enjoying the incredible atmosphere created by the Tara Festival organisers.

The evening entertainment, with a fantastic band and DJ, was a particular highlight.

The group would like to extend a huge thank you to Tara and everyone involved in organising the festival. The amount of preparation, hard work and effort that went on behind the scenes was clear for all to see, and the result was a weekend where everyone felt welcome, included and part of something special.

KOR M&O also want to give their appreciation to all the teams they met over the weekend, women supporting women through Gaelic football and experiencing everything that Mothers & Others is about - friendship, inclusion, fun and a love of the game. The weekend provided the group with some fantastic memories & plenty of laughs.

And finally huge thanks to Margaret in Charlie’s Bistro for her support and hospitality to the Mothers & Others group.

From all at Kerins O’Rahillys Mothers & Others — thank you for a weekend we won’t forget.
